Setting up iphone to use your domain mail can be a tricky and cumbersome task. Hopefully with this tutorial we can make things much smoother and quicker for you iphone users.
Assuming that you do have an email account through your domain name from us, (ex; email@example.com) here's the steps to follow to set it up on your iphone.
- Opening the Setting App on your iphone
- Tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab.
- Tap "Add Account..."
- Then tap "Add Mail Account".
Fill out the brief info that is being requested to identify the account and click next.
You will now notice there are two options. IMAP and POP3 available at the top of your screen. For some reason iphone wants to use both, so we will need to fill out the information it wants in both places. The information IS NOT the same for each.
Screen shots below show what you will need to enter in each field for the appropriate section.
In the IMAP section your "Incoming server" setting will be as shown below;
Your Outgoing Mail Server section will be as follows;
Even though the username and password fields may read optional, They are needed.
Then on your POP3 tab you should enter the following information;
